The Detroit Justice Center (DJC) is a non-profit law firm transforming the justice system and promoting economic opportunities. Focuses on racial justice and economic equity through community lawyering. Offers legal services including eviction defense, restoring drivers' licenses, and establishing community land trusts at The LOVE Building.

Detroit Disability Power Builds the political and organizing power of the disability community through advocacy and community building. Works to end disparities in housing, employment, education, healthcare, voting access and more. At The Love Building, DPD hosts Healing Justice Circles, as well as accessible & inclusive dance classes.

The Detroit Community Technology Project’s (DCTP) develops technology rooted in community needs, expanding digital literacy and access in Detroit. Offers programs like the Equitable Internet Initiative, providing free Internet and solar-powered charging stations. Training residents at the LOVE Building to build and maintain community Internet infrastructure.

The Detroit Narrative Agency incubates visual storytelling by BIPOC filmmakers through fellowships and trainings. Nurtures Detroit’s film and media ecosystem with screenings and public programs. At the LOVE Building, DNA hosts training sessions, fellowship programs, and film screenings.

Allied Media Projects makes the radical practical with fiscal sponsorship for over 120 media-based projects, offering solutions-focused admin and financial support. At the LOVE Building, AMP will host events that connect people, projects, and ideas, fostering collaboration and innovation.

The LOVE Building, Inc. is a subsidiary of Allied Media Projects, which will coordinate and produce public-facing programs at the LOVE Building, beginning in 2024. For two years, the LOVE Building led community engagement sessions within the Core City neighborhood to create a voluntary Community Benefits Agreement. This CBA outlines the programs and services that will be available through its tenants and other partners. In addition to the offerings described above, this will include: 

  • Management of a 2,000 square foot multi-media equipped event space and conference rooms, available for rent by the general public.  

  • Dance and fitness classes. 

  • Maintenance and distribution of a neighborhood directory of businesses and community organizations.  

  • Design and programming of a pocket park at 15th street and Grand River.

  • Creation of an oral history/mural project to commemorate ancestors from the surrounding area.  

People In Education Humanizes learning through media arts, fostering connection, curiosity, and reflection. Brings media artists-in-residence to learning spaces and offers the Rida Institute for educator development. At the LOVE Building, PIE facilitates youth programming and operates a creative maker space with open studios.
