The LOVE Building, a new community-focused development in Detroit, recently celebrated its grand opening with a significant art exhibition. Led by nonprofits, the building aims to serve as a community hub, offering programming and workspace for local residents and social justice and creative groups.

The exhibition "Apex" by Taylor Childs, running through September 27, explores Black historical narratives, drawing from the artist's family history and their connections to Detroit's past.

Completed with a $14 million investment, the LOVE Building houses various organizations, including the Detroit Community Technology Project and Detroit Disability Power. It provides community services such as meeting spaces, arts events, free Wi-Fi, and legal aid. Executive Director Kwaku Osei highlighted the collaborative efforts of tenant partners to support the local community.
